A lovely and very rare late 16th century Dutch tin-glazed polychrome wall tile, from circa 1580-1600, a so-called quadrant tile (kwadraat). This tile depicts a leaping dog.
As you can see from the pictures it has suffered damage to the top right corner and sadly also to the surface, where the dog’s head is. This would be worth restoring as it is a very rare title.
Please refer to the photos.
The tile measures 5.3 by 5.3 inches (13,5 x 13,5cm) and is half a third of an inch thick (14mm).
This would make a great addition to your antique Delft tile collection.
