A splendidly rare early 17th century Dutch tin-glazed wall tile from circa1620, this tile depicts a running duck in a ‘stamp’ border (known in Dutch as a ‘Postzegel’ tile). The tile has large fleur-de-lis corner motifs.
It is in very good to excellent condition considering its age. It does have a few edge fritters. Please refer to the photos.
It measures 5.5 by 5.5 inches (13.4 x 13.4 cm) and is half an inch thick (14mm).
This would make a great addition to your antique Delft tile collection.
